This is a bit of a weight loss blog (gosh I remember when I didn't even know what a blog was and now look at them all), anyhoos hopefully I'll get a bit of motivation from this.

Another wkend gone.

Well its almost the wkend again, and I still haven’t said anything about last wkend!

It was really fullon. I worked on my bike till 10 Friday night, and greg turned up at 12:30am after working on his. I was already asleep by this point, and it was really really nice having him turn up and snuggle into bed with me.

Next day we spent trying to work out my gearbox problems (I had one of the gears the wrong way round) and then find another shim washer as one appeared to be missing. Also had to shoot out and buy another helmet. I’m really happy with the one I got, its an HJC with a very styley matt finish in red and black (cost 150 down from 350!). If I was at all motivated I would take a photo and put it on, but I think blogging photos might be a little beyond my ability. I managed to pick up a washer from someone else who races at 6pm so the gearbox was done by 8 and van loaded by 9.

Then racing all the next day. I will put the report on my other blog, but in short I had lots of electrical problems and need to spend heaps of money getting it all replaced.

I’ve just paid for the parts today, 417 euros plus currency conversion etc, ouch considering I’ve just paid the last 920 dollar bill for parts off the credit card.

Heading to Sydney for 2 weeks on Sunday so that will save me a bit of money.

Tonight I’m going out for dinner with my sister, cousin, greg, and some other people at an Italian place in parnell so that should be fun. Tomorrow I’m climbing Rangitoto and working on bike after that.

Weight loss not going so good, I have been so munchy this week. I have to take progestertone for some female stuff and I take it in 2 week stints. I think it makes me really hungry but at least it appeared to fix my periods, having them monthly instead of weekly.
I did fit fine into my leathers last week, think the late nights working on bikes not thinking about eating (hence eating) helped. I’m about the 68kg mark at the moment.

Well time to eat some lunch.

Busy busy busy....

The wkend was pretty full-on, Saturday I spent working on one of my engines, getting the crank back in. It was a bitch of a job because one of the seals shat itself when the cases were put together, so we managed to pull that one out but then G put the other one in to far. We’ll think it will be right thou.

So the engine was done after about 8 hours work, Saturday night I was just buggered, so G went to the pub and I went to bed around 11. He came home at 2am, but not very drunk which was surprising.

On Sunday we went to Te Aroha and went mountain biking. They have some wicked trails up there. I managed to crash off as soon as I got into the bike which luckily no-one saw. And g did a big endo and left huge scrapes, cuts and bruises everywhere, so he was rather sore.

One of the best bits was the trail started right by the hot pools so we could go have a soak afterwards.

I was just so tired all wkend, we actually went to bed at 9:30! Friday night which is the earliest ever. So that meant we were awake before 8 the next morning.

I’ve been super busy all this week trying to get two bikes rebuilt (one to sell). I can’t get the gearbox to work on my Honda which I’m suppose to be racing on Sunday so have to tackle that again tonight. Its been quite tiring spending 3-4 hours after work every night on them, so dinners have been very easy (Monday I was so sore it was low-fat icecream), and the rest of the time its been stirfies or tuna and salad. (with icecream to follow).

Since I have to fit into my rather tight leathers on Sunday, I’ve been trying to be reasonable good and think I’ve pretty much stuck around points each day and surely 3-4 hours in the shed each night would earn me a few bonus points anyway.

No scales to weigh myself on this wkend, but the pants feel a bit looser today so its looking hopeful….

Tomorrow we have to go shopping to buy a new helmet. My last one has a nice road and tire mark from someone hitting me last time I crashed at Taupo.

Step away from the food!

Well it hasn’t been a few good days lately on the eating front. I’ve been a bit stressed and frustrated at work so took it all out on food. And then we had pizza for lunch today, so tasty but not so healthy and I never seem to be able to eat only 1 or 2 bits.

One of the worst things is I’ve found out I’ve got a race meeting on the 12th and I just know my leathers are going to be tight and when they’re tight I overheat and burn up to much energy. Oh well my own fault for being such a piggy.

I keep wondering if I should go back to WW, but I get soooo hungry only eating 18-20 points a day. I know it can be done, but not sure I can overcome the cravings and emotional eating every single day. And I’m lazy to boot so don’t earn many exercise points. Hmmm well think on that one (and the $18 meeting fee)

I did quite well at the mini golf tournament the other day and felt like a complete prize hoarder cos I won a prize for best team, most holes in one, and worse score in team. So ended up with a mars bar (eaten that night), gold choccy coins (eaten/shared the next day) and a car for the most holes in one (mini hummer).

Now its almost the wkend, and I never do well with eating on the wkend….
